Shop Modern June

So... in December, we took our daughters to The Fawn Shop in Richmond which was a temporary holiday shop for local artists. After looking around and buying a cute bone-shaped oilcloth dog food mat for my parents' dog (my brother) for Christmas from Modern June, I stepped outside for my daughters to do some Christmas shopping. They brought their own money and were so excited to buy a gift for me. Well, Christmas morning I was surprised with the sweetest lil' Modern June oilcloth zippered purse (with red polk-a-dots and strawberries) from my oldest and an awesome Monkey Dog Studio green ceramic ring from my youngest. I'm so lucky! After Christmas, I decided to take a peek at Modern June's website and found that I LOVE her items that she has made to sell in her Etsy store and I also enjoyed reading her blog. Oh, and I don't want to forget to add that she has an Etsy store called Oilcloth Addict, as well. When I read her blog post about the sale she was having in her home to clear out and get ready for new inventory, I knew I had to be there! So, the sale was yesterday and my mom, two daughters and I travelled 40 mins. to get there. Kelly was a gracious host, making us feel welcome in her sweet home. I'll also mention that she gave away freebies to everyone who came...oilcloth and fabric scraps,oh my!My daughters were especially excited about that!

Ok, now you have to see what I bought...

Jealous?

a vintage pom pom Christmas apron (forgot to take a close-up of the vintage floral smock)

this is to wear for my yard sale in a few weeks

love this retro look

love this as an outfit Freebies
My total for everything pictured above was $20!!!! Too bad you missed the big sale ;-) but you can still shop her 2 Etsy stores and she has a SALE on some adorable fabrics on her blog right now...check her out!

I also bought the cutest oilcloth sandwich wrap for my niece for $7, that's not pictured, but she has some in her store. Make sure to take a peek at her banners, as well!

And Modern June is a good reason why I want to bring wearing aprons with everything back!

Loved them all (aprons) I have some that belonged to my Grandmother and Great Aunt...but I started making some to be passed down from me too...at least I hope the Diva and Peepers will want them! :)

Lovely, so sweet. I spotted some vintage aprons in my local charity shop but I'm holding out for a very oldfashioned wrap around pinny that all the old ladies used to wear in Lancashire. Has to be over-sized and has to be dinky floral.
But I do love old aprons and have to stop myself from buying them

I LOVE the aprons!!! I would love one of the cupcake patterns, I have a THING for cupcakes, LOL! I love your blog and bravo to you on your psychology degree! Which part of the field will you specialize in? Have you thought working with kids on the spectrum? The world needs more of these! :)
