I'm determined to get something Christmasy on here before Christmas!

I have two weeks worth of Christmas photos that I have NOT made time for to put on here. Well, I am bound and determined to get them on here BEFORE Christmas! I apologize to all of you bloggy friends for leaving you hangin'! I have made my blog number 3 on my list of 1,578,546,302,902,239,283,823 New Years Resolutions for 2009. I will surely post something on the 1st of January and by the 2nd will have given it up along with my other 1,578,546,302,902,239,283,822 resolutions! (I think I'm kidding, but I'm probably not)

Here we go:

Here are some pics of mantles at our local historical tavern

Love the oyster shells and cottonDried hydrangeas and gourds
Here are some pics from a trip to the big city (which I try to stay away from but looks beautiful at Christmas time) and the gorgeous Jefferson Hotel

We loved these lil' chandies in the Christmas trees around the hotel! They were selling in the gift shop for $50 and that was a lil' much for my thrifty wallet
Me, my mom, my cousin, and my great aunt

I was lucky enough to be able to have a blind lunch date with BHE. We ate at my favorite Ladybug Cafe at Through the Garden Gate. This adorable lil' place is de-lish! BHE is so adorable and sweet...I think we'll make great friends! She's a lil' camera shy, so I took pics of the cafe instead ;o)

Everything that I've ever eaten here has been wonderful and beautiful. BHE and I started with the scrumptious crab bisque with the cutest lil' bitty saltines. I wish I had gotten a picture, but I think at this point I was so excited to meet a fellow blogger! We had these rosemary chicken salads! They also have awesome desserts...I'm always buying the candybar brownies!

I'm willing to bet that you've never seen a Christmas tree quite like this one!

Here's a pic for you, BHE...and I'm sure there was a can of Aquanet in here somewhere!

Last, but not least are the lights around our neighborhood...

This train is so cool and we have to see it a few times every year. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture of it, but it is on the front of a house and the passenger car is the garage door and windows.

This farm house even has a plane ready to help out Santa...

This sun takes up a whole field...

I still have pics to show of my house, but we'll see if I get to that post!

I hope you all have an awesome Christmas!

XO,

First of all, you earn extra points for having the theme to Christmas Vacation playing when I logged on to your blog. That scores an A plus plus from me! :-) And that random doll parts tree...LOVE it! There's a bar in NYC called Beauty Bar in an old beauty salon -- they would loovveeee to get their hands on that.

I hear you on the Christmas thing...I took so many pictures this past week and just put some up on my blog (finally!). Now I need to get myself together for tomorrow. I am so behind this year!(I wonder if all the time I spend looking at blogs has anything to do with it? ;-)

Have a very, merry Christmas and a thrifty new year!

hugs, Laura

OMG! Carmen, you are SUCH a sweetie!! I hope we are able to squeeze in another lunch soon....OR, dinner with BellaDella:) (Blind Date? Bwahahaha!!!)

The photos are beautiful. I was downtown earlier this month, and I just couldn't get enough of the decorations. Although, our little Michelle's Tavern certainly does rival the "big guys" with her fabulous decorating - doesn't she??

I can't tell you how many times I have thought about that Barbie tree since we had lunch:D Do you have any idea how much the "Crazy Lady" wants for it?? It's like a train wreck.....I can't stop looking!!!

Merry Christmas my dear! We are off to candlelight service at church. My daughter is singing "Ave Maria" tonight. Yes, I have put tissues in my purse.....

I hope you had a fabulous Christmas. Sorry I have not stopped by sooner. I am mourning the end to my Christmas vacation and nursing a cold tonight. Ick. This weather isn't helping. We have the windows open!

Love all your pictures. Downtown is so pretty this time of year.
