The first project to share is a vintage lamp that I bought for $3 at a yard sale. The cord was missing the plug, so my hubby added a new plug to it and I added this lampshade that I had hot glued roses around. This will be in my girls' room and they love it!
For my next project, I had taken down my long curtains that made the room look smaller. And for months I kept looking for just the right valances when it occurred to me that I had many cute lil' vintage hand towels, scarves, napkins, and hankies that were just sitting in a drawer. I thought they'd look cute layered as a valance and it was a perfect way to show them off. I love the way it turned out and even better, I didn't have to spend a penny!

I have done this very thing!! I used really big napkins that I had four of alike and layed them over the plain muslin curtains in the kitchen. It looked great! I LOVE the way yours looks. I too have tons of vintage hankies, napkins, and towels. I can never pass them up at auctions and garage sales!!
