After two weeks of working on and off on this $20 vanity, the transformation is complete! Remember, this is what it looked like before:
And this is what it looks like after:
I painted it a creamy ivory and carribbean blue. I also added the cute flower medallions on each cabinet because to me, it looked a little bare. I painted the $7 vanity stool ivory to match and figured it would make a nice set (the seat was already this color and decided to leave it this way). Here it is in the store (cross your fingers that it sells because my 9 yr. old daughter says she's going to buy it if it doesn't).And do you see the shelves that my dad made from the $2 shutter screen? Mom added the lacey paper placemats for the cute edging on the shelves. This adds so much more room for The Porch. Thanks for stopping by!

I love it. The colors are great and I love the little medallions. I first looked at the pic and wondered where they came from. I was thinking- gosh must of been a lot of paint on there :) The poor vanity must be so happy to be relieved of that gharish paint. It looks so happy at The Porch. I bet it sells fast.
LOVE the color....beautiful and serene. I am sure that baby will sell. cherry
I love it too! Wish it was for sale over here then I could buy it. Well done
Wow! What a great transformation. I'm almost sorry your daughter won't get to buy it. ;-)
Very cute... you have inspired me to paint all the FINDS I have collected and are stored in my garage... my son is inpsired to help me since I said he could have a cut of the profit... he is sanding away right now as I type... I will have to post some of my re-creations soon!
Enjoy your weekend... and happying findings! Fifi
